Wilzig Erotic Art Museum (WEAM), Miami Overview
Situated in the Art Deco District of Miami Beach, this museum founded by Naomi Wilzig in 2005 focuses exclusively on erotic art displays and is the only one in the country to do so. The collection includes over 4000 pieces from ancient periods to modern times of erotic art and it is one of the most unique museums in Miami.
The private collection of the founder aims to bring to light the various aspects and components of sex that are often hidden or shamed and celebrates the normalization of interest and developments in the sex culture. Works of various researchers like Magnus Hirschfeld are featured and the collection of art continues to grow till date.
