Paralia Paleochori is arguably the best beach on Milos Island, located on the south coast of the island, 10 km from Adamas port. The crowded beach is divided into three zones with dark sand and warm waters due to underwater mineral springs. The pebbled sea beach filled with tiny fishes and underwater volcanic rocks makes it a great snorkelling point.
The beach is well-managed, with washrooms, sun loungers, and umbrellas. It is a colourful paradise with red and yellow cliffs and contrasting blue waters. The beach emerged as a result of ancient volcanic eruptions. Take the stairs down the cliff to reach the beach below. It is accessible by road and hired boats. There are several cafes, beach bars, and taverns around the shore. The nearby Papikinou beach and Milos Mining Museum are a must-visit.
