Sarakiniko beach is the most popular and picturesque beach in Milos and arguably all of Greece. It is located on the Northeastern coastline of Milos, 10 minutes from Adamas. It is most famous for its bone-white volcanic rock formations, which pair against the blue horizon and the turquoise waters. The beach is a popular spot for snorkelling and cliff diving.
There are several pitch-black caves and abandoned mining tunnels to be explored across the beach. The sandy section of the beach is relatively small but provides a great view of the sunset. The Milos Mining Museum and Mandrakia beach are a few km from the beach. The beach is also the site of an African shipwreck in 2003, which is popularly known as the wreck of Sarakiniko. Several restaurants are also a short distance away.
Tips : Carry your own sunbeds, towels, and snorkelling equipment as there are no facilities on the beach.
