The fishing village of Klima has a vibrant lane filled with colourful two-story houses built in the traditional style. Locally known as sirma or syrmatas, they are located on the waterfront of Klima. Most houses are now holiday homes, souvenir shops, and eateries. Tourists can stay overnight at one of these Sirma vacation houses and enjoy the scenic beauty of Klima.
The white-painted houses with multicoloured balconies and doors make for one of the most scenic spots on the island. The boathouses are updated with all basic facilities, such as a kitchen, bedrooms, dining area, and a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Prices vary according to the type of Sirma. Sirmas were traditional fishermen's houses built to serve as boat garages to protect boats from high tides and winds. The base floor was used as a garage, and the upper storey served as a residence. The Agios Dimitrios Church, Klima Beach, Catacombs, and Ancient Theatre of Milos are popular attractions near the waterfront.
