Park of the Fallen Heroes is a unique open-air museum located in Moscow, Russia. Situated between the Park Kultury and Oktyabrskaya metro stations, it lies outside the Krymsky Val building, which houses the modern art division of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Central House of Artists. The park is renowned for its extensive collection of over 1,000 sculptures, making it the largest open-air sculpture museum in Russia.
Established in 1992, Muzeon Park became the repository for numerous Soviet-era monuments that were dismantled following the dissolution of the USSR. Statues of prominent figures such as Lenin, Stalin, and other Soviet leaders were relocated here, transforming the park into a space that preserves and reflects upon Russia's complex history. Over time, the collection expanded to include contemporary works, creating a diverse array of sculptures that span different periods and styles.
