Zaryadye Park is a contemporary urban park, adjacent to Red Square and the Kremlin. Opened in September 2017, it is the first large-scale park developed in Moscow in over 50 years. The park seamlessly blends nature and modern architecture, offering visitors a diverse experience that includes various climatic zones, cultural attractions, and panoramic city views.
The park's design is based on the principle of "Wild Urbanism," creating a hybrid landscape where natural and built environments coexist. It incorporates four distinct Russian landscape typologies: tundra, steppe, forest, and wetland. These zones are organized in terraces that descend from northeast to southwest, each layering over the next to create a total of 14,000 square meters of enclosed, programmed spaces integrated into the landscape. Visitors can enjoy a river overlook cantilevering 70 meters over the Moscow River, a media center, nature center, restaurant, market, two amphitheaters, and a philharmonic concert hall.
