Government Museum, Mount Abu Overview

The Government Museum in Mount Abu is a popular tourist attraction, located within the Raj Bhawan premises. It houses a rich collection of artefacts depicting the tribal life of the region. There are also brass artefacts and Jan bronze carvings on display. The highlight of the museum is exquisitely carved statues of Devdasi or Nartaki (ranging from 6th - 12th century AD). These originate from the ancient Chandravati town.

The Government Museum is divided into two sections. One section is dedicated to the tribal life while the second section displays a series of miniature paintings. There are also sculptures of Lord Shiva, Vish Kanya, Lord Surya, Chanvar Vahini and Laxmi, and Chandravati & Chamunda.
