Located at the exact spot of residence of the renowned painter Franz von Lenbach is the Lenbachhaus. It is an art gallery which has the largest collections of the “Blauer Reiter” art. Aside from the art is houses, the Lenbachhaus has a visually soothing architecture built in Italian style.
It showcases collections by Wassily Kandinsky, Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc, Elisabeth Epstein, and many more. The exhibition, “Art After 1945” showcases art pieces and relishes from the post-war period. The gallery also has international contemporary art on display. Its building, garden and the fountain are as artistic as the pieces it holds.
