Khuliya Top is an easy 10km trek from Munsiyari. It offers a magnificent view in summers of great Himalayan ranges. The five famous peaks namely Panchachuli, Hardeol, Rajrambha, Nandakot and Nandadevi are clearly visible from here and this makes it an amazing experience for even a first time trekker.
With trekking in summers, the winters offer a perfect spot for skiing with snow laden alpine slopes.
Rail: Take a train to Lucknow from Delhi. SHC Garib Rath from New Delhi station is the best option. The train leaves New Delhi at 10:55 am and reaches Lucknow at 6:40 pm. Board Nainital express from Lucknow to Tanakpur. The train leaves Lucknow at 8:35 pm and reaches Tanakpur at 9:25 am. From Tanakpur, taxis are available to Munsyari. An easier option is to catch the Delhi to Munsiyari Uttrakhand transport bus from Anand Vihar ISBT terminal which leaves at 4 pm and reaches Munsiyari at 6 pm next day.

Day 1: Munsyari to Khuliya Top
Start early morning, after breakfast at Munsyari. The first 7 km trek is uphill with a total altitude gain of 1000 meters. Enjoy the marvelous views of clear view of the Panchachuli and Rajrambha peaks enroute. The trek then is a steep incline to Khuliya camp site, which can take around 3 hrs to reach. Stay overnight in tents.
Day 2: Khuliya Top
Explore to Khuliya top and trek to upper Khuliya top for himalayan view. Don't miss the sunset view as seen of Panchachuli peaks.
Day 3: Khuliya Top to Munsyari
Trek the same way back to Munsyari, while marvelling the sights of Kamaon's mountain ranges. Stay overnight in the hotel.
