Lena's house is a middle-class 19th-century Mykonian house converted into a museum. Located in Tria Pigadia, it showcases the rich social history of Greece with beautiful furniture and decorations. The museum consists of two bedrooms, a vast drawing-room, two courtyards and a dovecote. The antique furniture takes you back to old times with splendid prints in large frames, wood carving, painted plates, old mirrors, embroideries and bedrooms fitted with Viennese furniture.
Lena’s House has been open to the public since 1972. It became a part of the museum after the donation from Lena Skrivanou’s inheritors, Georgios and Ioanna Drakopoulou. The costumes displayed have been assembled by costume designer Giannis Papadakis-Metzikof.
