Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, Narkanda Overview
The Koteshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the popular temples in Shimla. It is located in Mandoli which has a beautiful village with a scenic and divine atmosphere. Koteshwar deity is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva. As per the religious beliefs of the locals, they say that God Koteshwar comes out of the temple once every four years.

If you book a cab from Shimla Railway station, then you will reach Koteshwar Mahadev Temple in 2.5 hours. There are several lodges around 2 kilometers away from the temple. The price range for lodges begins from Rs. 700 to Rs. 2000. Also, the timing of the temples is from morning 6:30 am to 12:30 am. The temple also opens in the evening from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
