Saptashrungi Ropeway

Saptashrungi is a revered HIndu pilgrimage site in Nashik, Maharashtra, that is situated on top of a hillock and a strenuous trek uphill is required to reach it. So the ropeway was installed here for the ease of the pilgrims and that has been a major hit ever since. The furnacular trolley started operating in July 2018 and has a total of 6 compartments that can accommodate 10 people each. The building is also facilitated with restrooms, eateries and waiting rooms for the convenience of the pilgrims and tourists.

The trolley takes a total of 3 min to transport around 60 people to the shrine on the hill. With a beautiful view of the Western Ghats and the valley in the surroundings, there are also tourists who come to experience a ride in the trolley. Once you get down at the station, there are still around 20 steps that you will need to climb in order to reach the shrine. At present, the trolley carries around 5000 pilgrims on a daily basis.
