Almost destroyed by a suicide bomber in 2019, St. Sebastian’s Church in Negombo was reconsecrated three months after the attack. This church, built in Gothic Revival style and based on the Reims Cathedral in France, is one of many across the country dedicated to St. Sebastian, considered a martyr in the region. Visitors could experience the church’s annual festival on January 20 and, on other times enjoy its architecture and twin spires.
