The Bronx Zoo located within Bronx Park is another landmark of New York city that shouldn’t be missed. As one of the largest zoos in the country, this 200-acre zoo housing more than 600 species has a rich history of animal interactions and is widely known to have one of the world’s best collections of endangered and rare animals.
Apart from playing a role in captive preservation programs, the zoo has also hosted award-winning exhibitions over the years. There are 2 types of exhibits in the zoo, general exhibits which are included in the regular admission tickets, and Premium exhibits which cost an additional fee.
The zoo is easy to reach from anywhere in the Tristate area and is accessible by bus and subway. Visitors coming from Manhattan can also use the express bus service to reach the zoo.
