The Conservatory Garden is an English style garden located in the northeastern part of the famous Central Park in New York City. You can reach it through the Vanderbilt Gate at Fifth Avenue. It is the only formal garden in New York and has over six acres of flora.
The Conservatory Garden is divided into three sections. The north section has the renowned Three Dancing Maidens fountain. The central garden is known for its violets. The south section has the Burnett fountain that is inspired by the children's novel The Secret Garden. The Museum of the City of New York is a two-minute walk from here.
The garden is considered to be a quiet zone so it's best suited to visit alone or with a partner. Dogs are allowed but they must be leashed at all times so that they don’t dig or ruin the plants.
