La Tourette Golf Course, New York City Overview
Established in 1928, La Tourette Golf Course in the Greenbelt area of Staten Island boasts of the 18-hole par-72 6708-yards course designed by John R. Van Kleek.
Overlooking the celebrated Richmond Town, sprawling meadows and hills, its clubhouse, known as La Tourette House (1836) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As a crown jewel of the state, it holds the yearly New York City Amateur Championship in may-end. Rolling fairways, undulating medium-sized greens with several plateaus, overhanging trees and mounding make way for a challenging golfing session while the large practice green with the controlled environment is suitable for customized learning for all age-groups.
