Tucked in Bronx Park, the New York Botanical Garden sprawling over 250 acres is an educational institution, plant research and conservation organization with a million plants and a living museum. Open from Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM till 5 PM, the Garden Pass and Ground-only Resident Pass cost USD 22 and USD 15 for adults, USD 19 and USD 7 for seniors above 65 and students with ID, USD 8 and USD 4 for kids aged 2-12 and free for members and kids below 2 respectively.
On 27-28 November, 5, 12, 18, 16, 26-30 December and 1, 2 and 9 January, you can enjoy the NYBG Glow that costs USD 30 for adults, USD 18 for kids aged 2-12 and free for kids below 2. Explore the forest, home gardening center, native plant garden, perennial garden, rose garden and seasonal walk and visit the Plant Research & Conservation to learn about the approaches and meet scientists. You will find Biodiversity collections, floras, inventories and learn about plant groups namely fungi, gymnosperms, algae, bryophytes, lycophytes and flowering plants. Check out the research projects on the Amazon, Caribbean, Atlantic Coastal Forest, North and South America, Pacific, Tropical regions and Southeast Asia. Tours are offered to William & Lynda Steere Herbarium, Plant Research Laboratory etc.
