It is an amusement park that has been built on the premise of the entirety of the family having fun together, the park is famous for having activities that parents and their children can participate in together. It was inaugurated in 1954 and is located in Hope Township, in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. To get to it visitors will have to drive down County Route 611 for two miles from exit 12 of Interstate 80.
The theme park has created a motto around itself "Safe and wholesome recreation". The Land of Make Believe has engaging rides and attractions that are most suitable for children under the age of thirteen, but it also has many attractions for visitors of all ages but does not offer any high octane rides as it is child friendly all around.
The Land of Make Believe has some prominent attractions such as the civil war train that circles around the entire park, the Pirate's Wading Pool which is the largest in America and it also has a life-size Pirate Ship, and & Pirates revenge dual racing slides & the Pirates Escape.
The Land of Make Believe has many regular rides that tourists would be able to find at a major amusement park such as a junior-sized roller coaster, a Tilt-A-Whirl, Tornado as well as a Drop & Twist. It also has more laid back attractions like hayrides and a petting zoo. The Land of Make Believe has water attractions such as the Pirates Plunge, The Sidewinder, Blackbeard's Action River Ride, Blackbeard's Pirate Fort, and eight waterslides.
When the park was first launched it only featured attractions for small children, whereas they had added some water attractions for children in the late 1980s. Towards the first decade of the 2000s, the park had begun to add rides so parents along with their children can enjoy together but had ensured they are not too extreme for kids. The new rides that were included are standard adult flat rides that could be found in carnivals and amusement parks as well as much bigger water slides that were available in major waterparks.
