After a few christians migrated from Pennsylvania to Newark, in 1936, there was no congregation of the Church of Christ. After continuing to worship in different cities for years, in 1943, a church building was established, now known as the Church of Christ. This church organises various events like bible classes, choir performances, Black history programs etc. It offers both traditional as well as contemporary style of service on sundays.
