Place Garibaldi is one of the largest squares of Nice. Garibaldi Square is a prominent landmark on the northern edge of the Vieux-Nice district. One can enjoy a variety of eateries and cafes here that are spread throughout all the corners.
Presently, it is the second-most significant urban square in the city, following Place Massena. The grand square was initially a military parade ground. The Garibaldi monument is in the centre of the square and encircled by a 17-meter-square fountain. This Square in Nice is one of the city's notable landmarks. From here, you can walk to several exciting locations like the Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art.
You can quickly get to the square from Nice's Old Town or Old Port, thanks to the T1 and T2 trams.
