Activities in and around Tam Yuang Waterfalls

The waterfalls are more popular among the locals than the tourists who picnic here with friends and families during the weekends and holidays. You can get to the viewpoints to get panoramic views of the falls and the mountains around. Or you can also trek to the bottom of the waterfalls, where you can swim. Beware of the hidden rocks and sharp edges of cliffs while swimming. If you are hiking, be cautious of the path as it gets narrow, steep and dangerous at some points.

  • There are some options for food and drinks in restaurants and cafes near the falls, but expensive. It is better to carry your food and picnic.
  • There are no public toilets and ATMs near the waterfalls. It is recommended to carry some cash.
  • If you are opting to swim, wear modest swimsuits and avoid bikinis as the town is still conservative.
  • Carry umbrellas, spare clothes to change into if you plan to swim and good hiking shoes if you plan to trek to the bottom of the waterfalls. 
  • The path is slippery and dangerous, so be cautious of your steps. It is better to start early to make your way back before sunset.
