  • Small water taxis depart for beaches including Rovinia, Limni, and Paradise on the opposite side of the bay near Liapades; from the port in Agios Spyridon. The cheapest way to travel between beaches is via water taxis.
  • Private transport from the airport will cost around 30 EUR. To save money, hop onto shared Hoppas, which will not take more than 15 EUR.
  • Green Buses alongside route A9 of Corfu serve Paleokastrista. Daily buses depart from the KTEL bus station near Corfu Town. One-way tickets cost  EUR 2.30.
  • Agios Spyridon beach offers a SeaTac accessible to people with mobility issues.
  • Paleokastritsa is a fairly expensive location and can be avoided by people on a budget.

  • The climb up the donkey track (a shaded 40-minute trek) to the town of Lakones is perhaps the most popular hike in Paleokastritsa. You can take longer day walks to Agios Georgios Pagon, the Fisherman's Cabin restaurant, the Bella Vrista viewpoint, or the Byzantine stronghold Angelokastro.
  • Paleokastritsa has two diving centres, known for snorkelling and diving, Poseidon Dive Center, which is close to the Odysseus Hotel, and Achilleon Dive Center, which is on the Agia Triada beach.
  • Budget-friendly accommodations are available on the inner and uphill roads of Paleokastritsa.
  • Most beach bars are located towards the eastern side of Paleokastritsa. These usually light up at night. However, the rest of the town does not enjoy vibrant nightlife.
