The Gurudwara Paonta Sahib witnesses a vast number of pilgrims every year. This sacred shrine offers insight into how Sikhism has managed to sustain. There are cultural events and reading held on its premises during the evenings. It also houses a museum which displays the several antiques and weaponry that Shri Guru Gobind Singh used during his stay over here.

2. Assan Lake
Assan Lake is a picturesque site and a prime tourist attraction in Paonta Sahib, being maintained and developed by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department. It offers a wide array of recreational activities like rowing, boating and paddling. Adventure sports like water skiing and hovercraft rides are also available. Moreover, there are restaurants present on the lakeside premises that offer a broad spectrum of cuisines.

Paonta Sahib is truly an industrially sound region. It is home to major industries in the categories of cement production, renewable energy, power generation, cosmetics, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles and even food. Some of these include local manufacturing units to the national groups of those industries. The setting up of leading manufacturing units in this region has given a substantial industrial and economic boost to the town. The industries also generated excellent income job opportunities for the residents as well.

The best time to visit Paonta Sahib is during February and March. It has pleasant weather conditions and provides an ideal set of requirements for tourist activities as well. The crowd is also relatively lesser around this time of the year. The summers see soaring temperatures, and the winters get extremely cold. Hence, it is advised to avoid planning a trip during those seasons. The peak season for tourism in Paonta Sahib is from July to September.
