Sao Beach, also known as Bai Sao, is one of the most famous and picturesque beaches on Phu Quoc Island. The beach sits against a tropical jungle backdrop, with giant trees lining the shore. The water is great for snorkeling, jet skiing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and kite surfing, while the beach is an excellent spot for sunbathing.
The beach is characterized by its stunning coastline, soft white sand that feels like powder underfoot, and inviting clear waters that stretch out into the horizon. Tall palm trees fringe the beach, offering pockets of shade. Sao Beach offers amenities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and beachside restaurants serving fresh seafood and Vietnamese cuisine. The beach is easily accessible, though it can get busy during peak tourist seasons. Compared to some of the busier beaches on the island, it tends to have a more relaxed and serene ambiance, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the sun.
