Arena, Pula Overview

Pula Arena is a remarkably preserved Roman amphitheater located in the heart of Pula, Croatia. Built in the 1st century AD, it is one of the six largest surviving Roman arenas and features a striking elliptical design with stone arches. Visitors can explore the underground passages and learn about ancient gladiatorial games, while the venue also hosts concerts and cultural events today.

No less than heaven for an architecture fanatic, the Arena is one of the largest Roman amphitheatre, built shortly after the birth of Christ. As the only remaining Amphitheatre with a completely circled wall, the Arena is one of the most travelled places across Croatia. The country has invested a lot in the preservation of this iconic Roman structure and hosts various events throughout the year including music concerts.
