One of the most complete Roman architectural ruins, the Arena is a huge amphitheatre built to host over 20000 people for public events in the first century A.D.
No less than heaven for an architecture fanatic, the Arena is one of the largest Roman amphitheatre, built shortly after the birth of Christ. As the only remaining Amphitheatre with a completely circled wall, the Arena is one of the most travelled places across Croatia. The country has invested a lot in the preservation of this iconic Roman structure and hosts various events throughout the year including music concerts.
