The best time to visit Panshet Dam is during the monsoons or early winters. Because most waterfalls around the dam are rain fed and they dry up during summers. While in the rainy season when the water levels are full; the waterfalls shine through in all their glory and splendour, and the surrounding greenery is in full bloom.

How To Reach Panshet Dam

There are state transport buses plying from Swargate in Pune to Panshet at 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM and back from Panshet to Swargate at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM everyday. In case you are driving or you have a private vehicle, you can take the Kothrud, Rajaram Bridge route and take a right from there. Follow the main road towards Khadakwasla and take a right from Donaje Phata to reach Panshet Dam. Another route is from Kothrud through Warje Malwadi, Uttam Nagar till you reach Khadakwasla Dam. Take a left from here to reach Donaje Phata and then take a right turn to reach Panshet Dam.
