Skippers Canyon, Queenstown Overview
Skippers Canyon is a picturesque gorge carved by the Shotover River. Exciting tours take you through the history of the canyons and the region. The Skippers Canyon is the historic location where one of the largest gold rushes of Ortago took place. These led to the meteoric rise of the region around Skippers Canyon, and towns such as Charlestown and Skippers Point came up.
