The F fort, Raichak Overview
The Raichak fort continues to be one of the most beautiful forts in all of India, especially after its restoration a few years back. The fort, was originally built back in the colonial rule for keeping a watch over River Hooghly.
For many years post independence, the fort was left ignored and was in shambles. Later, Radisson group of hotels overtook it and converted it into a hotel. Now known as The F Fort, Raichak Fort, though heavily commercialized, will still manage to enthrall you with its earthen charm and old world demeanor. Built in Anglo Indian architecture with traces of British and French styles, the fort is definitely right on top of the small list of Raichak tourist spots.
