Also known as the City of Waterfalls, Ranchi has more to cater than just waterfalls. A bit underrated from the perspective of tourism, Ranchi has a lot of tourist spots. The Tagore hill, Jagannath Te (Read More)mple and Pahadi Mandir are great view points. Exploring the different waterfalls is a must when you are in Ranchi, but some of the notable and safe ones are Hundru, Jonah and Dasham falls. A few picnic spots to travel to with family include Panch Ghag, Rock Garden, Fun Castle, Deer Park, Dhurwa Dam and Nakshatra Van. The Patratu Valley is situated a few kilometers from the main city and is a beautiful tourist spot. Since Ranchi is my hometown, I have been to all of these places. For me, the best part about Ranchi is its weather, which is pleasant the whole year round.

A city as close to the beauty of nature as to definitive features of urban life. U can enjoy the beauty of Jonha falls, tranquility of Dhurwa dam, along with busy roads reminding you of your original (Read More) urban life. Though a small city, cabs are always readily available. Expect a kind of trip that is short & will not cut you off from your usual life.

Food and accommodation are very standard in this city, nothing too special. It seemed safer to not leave the hotel room after 7pm. Hudru and Dasham falls are beautiful sights if you want to climb dow (Read More)n the 7000+ steps to see them. Wouldn't recommend a trip here for more than a few days.
