The Acropolis of Lindos is an ancient ruin dating back to the 4th century BC, situated on a 116-meter cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. Offering a picturesque view from the hilltop, the Lindos Acropolis consists of a beautiful Hellenistic period gallery, a St. John Byzantine Church, and Knights’ headquarters that are worth admiring. It is accessible only on foot or by donkeys.
The site is dotted with historical monuments such as the Temple of Athena Lindia, the Propylaea, and the Hellenistic Stoa. The site also comprises the castle's battlements and two well-preserved towers built in the early 14th century by the Knights of St John.
