Agathi beach is one of the best beaches in Rhodes, with a long stretch of fine golden sand and turquoise water. It has shallow water, which makes it ideal for swimming. It is a perfect site for visitors travelling with children and families as not only is the beach perfect for sunbathing but the soft sand and shallow water make it safe for children to play on the beach. The coastline on the right side of the beach has stunning rock formations which can be explored if you go snorkelling on the beach.
Another interesting point at the beach is the 700-800 year old cave whose entrance has been painted white. This cave appears like a spot built as a hiding place or a habitat by someone. The beach has warm water and is sheltered from winds of the coast, which allow for a night swim, making it a unique location to visit. You can rent sun beds, umbrellas at the beach. The beach is well-equipped with the facilities of toilets and showers as well. It has a few eateries where you can enjoy the local gastronomy after a day of relaxing at the beach. It is a relatively secluded beach as it is away from any signs of settlement.
