Rhodes Aquarium, Rhodes Island Overview

Rhodes Aquarium is located in the basement of the Hydrobiological station. The interiors are designed in such a way that it makes one feel like they are underwater when they are looking at the marine creatures. The aquatic life ranges from sea anemones and plants to octopuses, sea urchins, corals, bivalves, crabs, lobsters, sea turtles, dolphins, seals, molluscs, sharks, and many other kinds of fish.

The museum's walls are covered with natural sea shells, making it look like a cave in the ocean. There is a special facility that looks after injured sea turtles or seals. The aquarium also functions as a museum and research centre.
