Tsambika Beach, Rhodes Island Overview

Tsambika Beach stretches on for 800 meters on the east coast of Rhodes. It is known to be one of the best beaches in the city due to its clean and shallow waters that are ideal for children and families. It is a well-organised beach with a nudist area at the southern end of the beach. The beach is named after the Monastery of Tsambika, which sits atop a hill at the beach's northern end.

There are plenty of beach bars, sun beds, watersports and taverns and a mini market in and around the beach. Adventure seekers can try parasailing, kayaking, and other watersports. There is also a waterpark with inflatable climbing frames and slides for children. The valley behind the beach is filled with huge sand dunes, and there is a chapel on the cliff surrounding the beach, which can be visited through a hike. Also ,a steep road and stairway lead to the hilltop Tsambika Monastery. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views and visit the chapel, which is a pilgrimage site for women with fertility issues.
