The Natural History Museum is a museum emphasising on urban nature, natural history and the geological background of the Rotterdam region and beyond It was established in 1927. The museum has a collection of an approximate 400,000 objects of which 253,119 objects are registered.
There are tours held every Saturday at 1:30 pm which are based on stories about the rich collections of the museum along with walks through exhibition halls of the past and present. There are temporary as well as permanent exhibitions to see. The exhibits on display are quite thought-provoking and impactful. There are also audio guides that are insightful for those who are keen to learn and understand more about museum exhibits. Other kinds of activities are too available for people to participate in such as nature consultation hour, treasure hunts for children, the Collection cart and audio tours. There is also a museum shop which is open to the public during the opening hours of the museum and does not require an entry fee.
