Sagaing Hill, Sagaing Overview
Sagaing Hill is located in the district with the same name close to Mandalay city in Myanmar. Situated on the banks of the Irrawaddy river, it is a green hill dotted with more than 600 white and gold pagodas, making it one of the top attractions for tourists visiting Mandalay.
Depending on your preference, you can easily spend a few hours or an entire day exploring temples, taking a boat trip and enjoying the sunset views from Sagaing Hill. The Soon Oo Ponya Shin Pagoda is the most famous of all the temples, located at the top. A 45-minutes hike on the stairs leads to viewpoints from where you can get beautiful views of the horizon.
