Annavaram, Samalkot Overview
Annavaram is place which is renowned for its temple Annavaram Temple dedicated to Lord Sri Veera Venkata Sataynarayana Swamy. Situated on a hilltop, the temple is famed for its magnificent architecture.
The main idol of the temple is tall enough to be covered in two floors. While the ground floor is for Pada darshan i.e. to view the God's feet, the first floor comprises of the upper part of Lord Venkata Sataynarayana Swamy. For normal darshana, there are no charges however, an additional fee is charged for special drashana of Rs. 25 and Rs. 116. The temple is usually flocked by devotees in large number throughout the year.
