Windansea Beach

The name Windansea beach stands for the ‘wind and sea’ hotel that once stood on the beach in 1940. It was once called Neptune beach and has a tragic history of deaths and accidents. The beach is located on the west end of La Jolla shores and is quite small in size. The beach is only suitable to visit in the summer due to the harsh winter storms.

Windansea Beach is a picturesque beach with sandstone peering out from the sand. The south end of the beach has a small shack made of palm leaves that provides shade. The beach also provides very limited parking spaces so it is important to look for public parking lots. Due to the small size of the beach, rough winds, and water this beach are not frequented by many. If you are a professional surfer and are looking to test the water then this beach would be the ideal spot.
