"Eden for Foodies & Shopaholics"

Seremban Tourism

Seremban, formerly called Sening Ujong, is the capital city of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It initially thrived as a business center and gained city status earlier in 2020. Seremban is known for Chinese shophouses, colonial buildings, lake gardens and beef noodles. It if often a detour for tourists travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, or heading towards Port Dickson. If we had to sum up Seremban for you, we would say it is the Eden for foodies and shopaholics!

Despite it being a small town with a population barely close to a million, there isn't a dearth of touristy destinations and landmarks to excavate. A trek to Gunung Angsi (the highest peak of the Negeri) is a must. For lotus eaters, hitting up the  Seremban Lake Garden to beat the commercial chaos would be a good idea.

Also a hub for architectural aficionados, Seremban is embellished with Minangkabau culture which is basically roofs resembling buffalo horns. To witness the best of it, a tour of the Seremban Culture Complex is recommended. The city retains another Minangkabau customary culture by following the age-old tradition of Adat Perpatih. According to it, women are given an elevated status in the social hierarchy as compared to men.

Seremban takes retail therapy seriously. The small town has a fair share of shopping malls some of which are open 24/7. They are as spacious and spread out like airports, have a plethora of retail outlets as well as entertainment units. Lined up with eateries, you can't help but gorge on the variety of Malaysian cuisines. Food in Seremban is a cocktail of flavours and textures. Malay, Chinese and Indian food dominate the menus here. From gourmet delights to street food smackings, you might want to try out everything here. Seafood is a massive hit in Seremban, so is Siew Pau (buns). Its breezy commute options include a half hour drive to and from Kuala Lumpur airport or the federal route that connects most of Malaysian towns to Seremban. A trip to Seremban is sure to be etched in your memory.
