Le Domaine De Val Des Pres, Seychelles Overview
Le Domaine De Val De Pres is an artisanal craft village, located on Mahe island, showcasing traditional creole culture through displays. It consists of the last authentic traditional creole home, a 19th century plantation house. Pottery, paintings, model boats, and clothing are some of the exhibits here.
There is also a famous restaurant here - the Pomme Cannelle, and 12 artisanal kiosks. The plantation house consists of the traditional kitchen, the kokoseye (remains of a coco de mer nut used for washing rice), the lavann, the kapatia and a replica of the servant's quarter. Best way to explore the village is on a walking tour.
