Until a few years back, Federal Highway was the only easy access to Shah Alam. However, it can now be easily accessed via the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) and the Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS). Another way to get to Shah Alam is through the airways. A few of the closest domestic airports to Shah Alam include Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and Ipoh Airport.
