Cambodia Landmine Museum, Siem Reap Overview

The Cambodia Landmine Museum and Relief Facility is in Angkor National Park near the Banteay Srey Temple complex. It displays an exclusive collection of Cambodian landmines and other weapons used during war periods, educating the importance of clearing mines in Cambodia.

As a result of decades of wars, including the Khmer Rouge regime and genocide, and American and Vietnamese occupations, millions of undetonated landmines spread across the country. Plenty of them are still active in all parts of the country, so hundreds of civilians are injured or killed every day. You learn about the history and impact of these mines in the Museum. It is one of the recommended places to include while visiting Angkor Park.
