Cambodian Cultural Village, known as Angkor Green Park, is a cultural village and open-air museum in Siem Reap. It comprises 11 artificially-made unique villages representing the culture, traditions, and heritage of 19 different ethnic groups of Cambodia. Each village presents miniature replicas of historical buildings and recreation of local lifestyles quintessential of Khmer ethnic culture.
A top attraction is the Millionaire House, a massive wooden stilt built like the residential complexes of Phnom Penh’s wealthy families. The Wax Museum is also a must-visit. It has statues of Cambodia’s famous personalities on display, including kings, queens, statesmen, ethnic leaders, movie stars, and reimaginations of Apsara dancers. There are human figurines and wax model exhibits that detail the building of Angkor Wat Temples and the royal and rural life at that time. In every village, you can witness firsthand how the people lived, their art, agriculture, trade, traditional functions such as weddings and festivals, and other everyday practices.
Many villages, such as the Chinese, Kroeng, and Kola, have regular live performances enacting different aspects of the culture. A segment is dedicated to the miniature versions of grand architectural marvels. Cambodian Cultural Village also has a New Theater, a Mini Theater, and a Big Theater where more shows take place throughout the day by trained professionals. Visit the in-premises restaurant for lunch or dinner and savor the local Khmer cuisine and Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and European delicacies. There is an Apsara Show at the restaurant every day from 06:15 PM to 07:00 PM. You can also relax at the body and foot massage spa before leaving to cleanse yourself of the day’s exhaustion.
