Banana beach is a coved beach located on the western coast of Skiathos island. It is famous for its fine sand, crystalline waters, and banana-like curved shape. The beach is divided into two parts which are separated by a rock. The larger part, Megali Banana beach, is the general beach area, and the smaller second half, Mikri Banana beach, is a nudist beach.
The beach has popular water sports activities for people of all ages, such as pedalos, kayaking, surfing, banana boats, and many more. It is accessible via bus, cars, boats, or cruises. Visitors can take a short but steep hike through the mesmerising pine forests from the bus stop to reach the beach. Basic amenities such as sun loungers, showers, umbrellas, a beach bar, and two taverns are available here. It is also a popular snorkelling and scuba diving spot. Agia Eleni beach and Koukounaries beach are within walking distance.
