Diocletian's Palace, Split Overview
Diocletian's Palace, built in the 4th century AD, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Split, Croatia. Originally constructed as a retirement residence for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, it blends imperial Roman architecture with medieval adaptations. The sprawling complex includes well-preserved structures such as the Peristyle courtyard, St. Domnius Cathedral, and ancient basements, surrounded by lively streets filled with shops, cafes, and cultural landmarks.
The massive complex of Diocletian Palace engulfs most of the old town of Split, spread in a large area of more than 30,000 square metres. The palace was built in the 4th century as a retirement home to the Emperor Diocletian, which was turned into a center of residence by the following settlements. Although only the walls and gates have survived the tests of time, you can still discover the historic beauty of this place. Apart from the palace, you will also spot the beautiful Peristyle, Split Cathedral, town gates, historic temples and statues among ther historic monuments.

Other Important Objective Information : Best time to visit Temple is between 08:00 am and 05:00 pm. The temple is easily accessible on foot, and visitors can also join guided tours to learn more about the history and architecture of the site.
