Yusupov Palace is a historic mansion located in St. Petersburg's Admiralteysky District. Renowned for its exquisite 19th-century interiors and as the site of Grigori Rasputin's assassination in 1916, the palace offers visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of one of Russia's wealthiest noble families. The "Murder of Rasputin" exhibit is particularly noted for its detailed portrayal of the events, featuring wax figures and recreated scenes.
Originally constructed in the late 18th century, the palace underwent several renovations, resulting in a harmonious mix of architectural styles. The Yusupov family, known for their immense wealth and art collections, owned the palace until the 1917 revolution. Notable features include the grand staircase, the Moorish Drawing Room, and a private theater modeled after Italian opera houses.
