The beautiful village is located in the district of Chandrapur. It is situated near Tadoba which is by far the largest national park in the country and is also given the name of 'Jewel of Vidarbha'. The park is spread over an area of 1727 square km and is home to a variety of species of plants and animals. It is heaven for the nature-lovers and should be a sure shot place to be visited with family and friends. It came into existence in the year 1995.
The national park is home to a Southern tropical dry deciduous forest covered with a variety of dense vegetation. It also comprises of animals including Chital, Sambars, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer, Chausinga, Neel Gai, Wild Dog, Wild boar and leopard. Such diversity amongst plants and animals make the national park appear more like a natural museum.
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve was formed in the year 1995 after Tadoba National Park was combined with Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary with the aim of protecting the species of Bengal tigers which were on the verge of extinction. It is a beautiful place which is flocked by visitors every year.
