Taiping War Cemetery is a historical landmark that serves as the final resting place for over 850 soldiers who lost their lives in the Second World War. Till date, more than 500 graves remain unidentified. The place is open through the week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Getting Around Taiping
The small town of Taiping can be easily explored on foot as a majority of the places are located within close proximity from each other. Alternatively, one can rent a bicycle to cycle around this historic town. Also, there are taxis available for those who want to travel to the outskirts of the town.
How to Reach Taiping
Located in the state of Perak, Taiping enjoys good connectivity with the rest of the country by rail and road. Multiple express buses travel daily to Taiping from Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Penang. In general, a bus ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Taiping can cost you anywhere from 27 RM to 50 RM. By road, it should take around 3 hours to reach Taiping from Kuala Lumpur via the Plus North-South Expressway connecting Taiping.
Alternatively, board a train from places like Kuala Lumpur and Butterworth to reach Taiping. The Electric Train Service takes just a couple of hours to reach Taiping. The centrally-located train station makes trains a convenient and time-saving mode of transport when traveling to Taiping.
