Netanya or Natanya is a city on the Mediterranean coast, 30 km from Tel-Aviv. It is the seventh most populous city in Israel and has garnered tourist attention for its beaches and green parks. It is surrounded by great structures and witnesses the finest cultural events.
Numerous galleries and museums are located all over the city, including the Well House, Tribes of Israel Pearl museum of Yemenite Jewish Heritage, Gosher Gallery and Cliff Gallery. It is also home to Poleg Nature Reserve and Irises Dora Rainpool nature park, where the native plant species, Iris atropurpurea, can be found in abundance. In addition, there are a couple of amazing and safe spots for adventure sports, such as paragliding. As part of the Sister Agreement, 2005, the city has excellent transportation connectivity comprising buses, taxis and railways.
