Mostly visited by hikers on their way up from Sangaygang (BBS Tower), Wangditse Goemba is a hillside fortification, surrounded by pine and rhododendron forests. Founded in the year 1750, the Goemba was reconstructed by the craftspeople and graduates of Zorig Chusum. The main highlight of this monastery is a two-storey high statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. It's a little ahead of Trashi Chho Dzong, one can visit the Zilukha Nunnery or Dechen Phodrang on their way back.
